Copies and Photo Reproductions
The Library is pleased to offer
Self-Service Copying and Printing
All
self-service Copying requires prior Library staff approval. In order to
preserve the physical condition of research collection materials,
many of which are often both rare and fragile, Library staff
must first approve whether an item’s condition will allow for copying.
Some material may only be copied by Library staff (see Staff-Assisted
Copying and Scanning), and some material may not be copied.
Many of the items in the Library’s collections are protected by copyright.
In all instances, it is the patron’s obligation to determine and satisfy
copyright and other restrictions when using materials in the Library’s
collections. The Library reserves the right not to copy materials
in its collections because of restrictions on such materials or for any
other reason.
For more information, including fees, see Copying
and Printing Instructions and Prices.
Staff-Assisted Copying and
Scanning
Copy Services staff will accept copy requests from on-site users. Scanning for
print or to computer files is also available through Copy Services at some
locations. These files are saved to USB drives or CDROMs as 300 dpi PDFs. Credit
card payments are accepted, and mailing services are available. For more information,
see Copying and Printing Instructions and Prices.
Professional Grade Photographic & Digital
Reproductions
Photographic Services & Permissions offers photography, digital scanning,
and microfilming services for personal, institutional, and commercial orders.
8x10" or larger size glossy or matte prints, high resolution TIFF files,
